Innovations

Innovation: to introduce something new; make changes in anything established.

Innovation is much more than just creating something new. It springs from the insightful use and repurpose of existing practices, tools and discipline to develop a better and safer solution. People must change the way they make decisions, they must choose to do things differently, to make choices outside their norm.

Members of the forest industry are stepping up to the challenge of becoming more innovative in integrating safety practices into their operation to create efficiencies, empower workers and grow their business. We will use the innovations page to share some of the exciting examples of what is working for others in industry to help you take your safety program to a whole new level.

If you have an innovation you would like to share please email a copy to innovation@bcforestsafe.org.
