Our annual Interior and Vancouver Island Safety Conferences are industry‑driven events focussed on safety topics relevant to BC's forestry sector and are free to attend.
Each conference is led by a steering committee that includes representatives from BCFSC, labour, industry and WorkSafeBC. Thanks to industry sponsorship, conference delegates are able to attend at no cost.
Attending our conferences may count toward a JOHS Committee member’s annual education leave entitlement under Section 41 of the Workers Compensation Act, or may be recognized as part of your organization’s safety training. Check with your HR department to confirm.
Interior Safety Conference
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2026 Interior Safety Conference.
More than 110 forestry professionals from across the province, representing silviculture, harvesting and wood products manufacturing, came together to delve into safety issues and find practical ways to improve safety across the industry.
All presentations were recorded and speaker slides are available in PDF format, making it easy to share key information with your crew. If you attended, consider sharing your personal takeaways and using the recordings and materials to keep the conversation going. If you couldn’t make it, the presentations are available on the BCFSC YouTube channel and can be used to support safety discussions.
