Tower Operator

This program of courses has been developed by industry experts and contain the foundational knowledge specifically for dedicated courses developed specifically for Tower Operators.  Also available with the program, are four optional courses that offer additional knowledge and are recommended to enhance the program material.

Learning Outcomes

Completion of required courses:

  • 1013 – Describe Rigging Components and Basic Rigging Practices
  • 1014 – Describe and Apply Advanced Rigging Practices
  • 1017 – Describe and Operate Tower
  • 1018 – Set Up Tower
  • 1019 - Take Down Tower
  • 1020 – Moving the Tower

 Duration & Delivery

This program of courses will take approximately 6.5 hours for the required courses and 1 hour for each optional course. This is an online program of courses with self-paced, flexible 24/7 access and the expectation of participants completing the course within six months of enrollment.

Enrollment

There are 2 steps to enrollment:

  1. Create or login to your BCFSC Learning Centre Account
  2. Enroll in the course

Click the LOGIN button below to access the Learning Centre.  On the Login page, either login with your username & password, or follow the instructions to "Create Account".

Once logged into the Learning Centre, find the course in the Self-enroll course list on the dashboard. Click on course name, then click on the Enroll Me button.
