Strapper Head Operation
A trainer was training a worker on the strapper. During the training, the trainer walked away to bridge the panel leaving the trainee at the control panel. The trainee decided to lower the bumper press to prepare it for the next step without realizing a few boards were in the way of the press. When the press lowered, it levered the front of the boards into the trainer’s face. He received lacerations and stitches.
