Combustible dust training provides instruction for anyone working in or around potential areas with combustible wood dust to be able to recognize potentially unsafe conditions, take appropriate actions, and develop and implement effective controls.
The online course takes approximately one hour 30 minutes to complete and includes updated content such as:
- Increased focus on combustible wood dust, rather than other materials
- Videos demonstrating how a dust explosion can occur
- Information on new dust regulations coming into force on January 4, 2027
- Hazards associated with dust removal systems, including the importance of exclusion zones to keep workers out of areas where an explosion may be vented
