The RCMP has released the following information:
On August 17, 2026, at approximately 9:51 a.m., Golden-Field RCMP responded to a report of a serious workplace incident at a local forestry business in Golden. The initial investigation indicates that a man was working alone on a logging truck when the vehicle moved, injuring him. Golden-Field RCMP and BC Emergency Health Services attended the scene. Despite the efforts of first responders, the man was pronounced deceased. Read more
