This course is one of three included in the Forestry Blasting Program, it provides a comprehensive overview of safe and effective blasting practices. Participants will learn pre- and post-blast procedures, how to develop detailed blasting plans, and essential safety measures. The course also covers the types of explosives, initiation systems, and their proper use to ensure controlled and efficient forestry blasting operations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of how to:
- Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-blast procedures.
- Develop and adjust blasting plans that comply with safety regulations
- Implement proper safety measures throughout blasting operations.
- Understand and apply various explosive types and initiation systems.

Approximately 5.5 hours. This is an online course with self-paced, flexible 24/7 access and the expectation of participants completing the course within six months of enrollment.
