Off-Road Vehicle Knowledge Unit

This online course is about safe operation of Off-road vehicles (ORVs) in forestry workplaces. It can be taken as standalone training, or as a pre-requisite to BCFSC's in-person Off-Road Safety Training and/or Off-Road Driver Training.  Participants will receive a record of completion.

The use of Off-Road Vehicles (ORVs) can be a high-risk activity in the forest industry and other resource sectors. ORVs for the purpose of this training include All Terrain Quad-Type Vehicles (ATVs), Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) and side-by-sides.

This training includes the knowledge required for safe ORV use that is critical for all ORV users whether on resource roads, trails or de-commissioned roads.

Duration & Delivery

Approximately two hours. This is an online course with self-paced, flexible 24/7 access and the expectation of participants completing the course prior to attending any field training.
