Andy Meints Contracting Ltd.
Details of Incident / Close Call:

A truck driver had just left the loader and was about 1km away when his trailer cut the inside of a corner. The hayrack fell over, pulling the truck over onto the driver’s side in the process.

The road was very muddy from rainfall the night before. The driver suffered a few cuts and bruises, but was otherwise fine and able to drive the truck and hayrack back to town empty.

Learnings and Suggestions:

• Don’t cut the inside of a corner

• Be extra careful in muddy road conditions

• Make sure the roads are maintained regularly

• Slow down around corners
