Snow and ice on road sends lowbed truck sliding

Lowbed driver was transporting a Butt-n-Top machine up a hill, into the block. The truck had new chains on, but the road was not very well maintained and the lowbed started sliding backwards for approximately 25-30 feet before it hit a snow bank and stopped.

No one was hurt and there was no damage.

Learnings and Suggestions: 

1) Roads should be properly graded and sanded regularly

2) Hills should be assessed properly to determine whether the vehicle will make it up or not
