Hazard Alert: Rock slide traps crew from return trip

Details of Incident / Close Call: 

A crew of 3 forest engineers encountered a rock slide blocking the road while travelling back from the field. The rocks were completely blocking the road and more than half of them needed to be moved with equipment or a truck. Some of the rocks were moved with man power. There was a BC Hydro line clearing crew also on the road and assisted with removing some rocks. There were no injuries sustained.

Learnings and Suggestions: 

Have an alternate travel route when traveling on roads known to have rock slides. Emergency Response Plans and daily tailgates should warn of potential rock slides before starting work.
