The SAFE Companies program has several elements of required training for all participants:
- Individual Owner-Operators (IOO) need to attend a short SAFEty course as part of preparing to be SAFE Certified.
- Small companies and independent employers (SEBASE,ISEBASE) must have one company representative who has attended the Small Employer Occupational Health and Safety course (SEBASE) provided by the Council.
- Large companies (BASE) must ensure that any external auditor they hire to conduct certification or maintenance audits has a valid certification for this job. You can check here to confirm someone’s certification. An internal auditor used for maintenance audits is required to have successfully completed internal auditor training.
