You haven’t failed! If you don’t meet the standards for the BASE audit, you will be able to work on fixing up the areas that need improvement and conduct a limited scope audit up to 90 days from the first audit date.  That will give you enough time to complete many of the recommendations that the auditor has made, and strengthen your program.  For the SEBASE audit, you can also resubmit new information up to 90 days. If you need more time to work on bringing your program up to standard, you will have to reschedule a complete audit when you are ready.
