External auditors charge different amounts, based on market conditions (much the same as other services they may offer). If an external auditor is used, a company should discuss this issue with them. Only the BASE audit requires that an external auditor be used on the first audit, and then every three years.
The Council recommends that you get a quote from different auditors if you are unsure of how much the audit will cost. Remember, you can negotiate the price!
There is no additional charge to review your audit for quality assurance purposes. This is part of the SAFE Companies registration fee.
