Cinch Hooks (Load Binder) Options

WorkSafeBC recently added regulation against welding a hook onto cinch hook handles, as it presents an unacceptable risk and can compromise the structural integrity of the cinch handle and incur the hazard that the handle will break while the trucker is closing it.  Please see WorkSafeBC Guideline G26.68 for more information (http://www2.worksafebc.com/publications/OHSRegulation/GuidelinePart26.asp#SectionNumber:G26.68)

The BC Forest Safety Council has reviewed the cinch hook (load binder) market to determine the types of cinch hooks available today and summarized them in the following document: Load Binder Solutions. Please note the BC Forest Safety Council does not endorse the use of any particular cinch hook, nor takes any responsibility resulting from the cinch hooks reviewed in this document.
