Darkness, close quarters pose a challenge for B-train log trucks on resource roads

In the dark, an empty super b log truck went to turn around at a junction. The driver stepped out to see if he had enough room to get turned around, but misjudged the amount of room he had and backed into 2 pickup trucks parked there.

There was no damage to the log trailer and only minor damage to the pickups. Nobody was hurt, as there was nobody in the 2 parked vehicles.

Learnings and Suggestions: 

• Exercise extra caution when working in tight areas

• Be aware of your surroundings at all times

• Move pickups next time if in doubt
