The Bush mechanic parked his service truck in a pull-out in the block.
A tree that was about 30 feet tall and 6 inches in diameter was blown over by the wind and fell on the truck, hitting the windshield. The windshield was cracked where a branch impacted the glass.
No one was in the vehicle at the time the tree fell.
• Wear a hardhat at all times – you never know what could fall!
• Look around before you park and assess the area for potential hazards from weakened or leaning trees, etc
