The BC Forest Safety Council expresses our deepest sympathy to those injured and killed in the explosion and fire at the Lakeland Sawmills operation.

This type of incident and the resulting injuries take an enormous physical and emotional toll on those involved and the effects will be long lasting. The workers, families, and the community of Prince George have a difficult road to recovery ahead of them; let this tragedy motivate us all to keep our workers safe and return them home to their families at the end of each day.
