Dalchako Timber Ltd.
Details of Incident / Close Call:

Heading out on a calcium Forest Service road at 7:30 am on a clear, sunny, Friday morning, a Log Truck Driver, pulling a long log load on a hayrack, was not focused on driving.  He entered into a right hand corner too fast and the front end began to slide, concerned about the Coffer Dam and water on the empty side of the road, he overcorrected, this resulted in the truck flopping onto the driver’s side while continuing in a slide.  The load was spilled once the truck stopped.

The driver (who was wearing his seatbelt) was treated at the scene by a Level 3 First Aid Attendant who determined that he had minor injuries needing treatment, so he was transported to the hospital by a Level 1 First Aid Attendant (Class I Driver) in a crew cab pick-up.  After being treated for an elbow injury and bruising he was sent home.  The Log truck was demolished (non-repairable).
