Basic Forest Supervisor training (BFS):

What is it? The two-day Basic Forest Supervisor Course provides you with:

  • knowledge of your responsibilities for compliance with WorkSafeBC OH&S regulations;
  • practical experience in applying supervisory safety responsibilities in a forestry setting;
  • the tools to carry out your duties and properly document them.

Is supervisor training mandatory? YES it is.

Is the BC Forest Safety Council’s supervisor training course mandatory? NO, but it is the best way to meet the requirements of the Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.

What is the start time? The BFS course covers two days: 8am to 4:00pm.
