Description:

What is it? The Falling Supervisor training course:

  • Provides the necessary knowledge and skills for supervisors to comply with the Workers Compensation Act and OH&S Regulation
  • Teaches supervisors how to properly document all relevant activities
  • Prepares you to evaluate certified hand fallers to the BC Faller Training Standard

There are six modules that will be taught:

  • Developing a Block Falling Plan
  • Controlling Falling Activity in the Workplace
  • Conducting Inspections on Certified Fallers
  • Coordinating with Other Phases
  • Managing People
  • Training Workers

Completion of the Falling Supervisor training course is the first step toward becoming a certified falling supervisor, which will qualify you to perform re-evaluations on certified fallers. Details of this certification will be covered during the 5-day falling supervisor course.

What is the course duration & start time? The Falling Supervisor training course starts at 8 am each day.

What do I need to bring with me? Weather-appropriate and warm clothing, caulk boots, hardhat, Hi-vis, tape measure, pocket calculator, clipboard, pens/pencils, thermos (lunch will be provided).

What is the cost of this new Falling Supervisor course? The course fee for the Falling Supervisor course is $1450.00 (includes HST)
