Integrated Trucking Log Book

Vehicle operators in the forest sector have a lot of record keeping to do.  On any day the RCMP, ICBC, CVSE, or WorkSafeBC officers might ask to see “your logbook”.  Regulatory changes in 2008 mean that both on-road and off-road drivers now need to have logs available for inspection.

Your log book needs to be kept up to date (at least every 30 minutes), kept in your truck (14 days' worth), and available should an authorized inspection person request it.  You also must have log book records for the 14 days previous to the inspection, even if you weren't working those days.

The Council, in collaboration with our member logging associations, has developed an Integrated Log Book template for highway and off -highway drivers.   All major regulatory agencies have reviewed it and confirmed that if it’s fully filled out, it meets their requirements.
