FOREST ROAD COMPLIANCE
Find the Forest Service Road Use and Timber Transportation pamphlet here which is published by the Ministry of Forests & Range. It gives you general information on road and transportation regulations and how they are enforced.
CVSE and NATIONAL SAFETY CODE COMPLIANCE
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is the Ministry which houses the Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement branch. They are charged with enforcing regulations and operating the weigh scales and permitting office for the province.
Their website includes all the latest bulletins, National Safety Code Requirements, Cargo Securement Requirements, Hours of Service Regulations, etc. Go to http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/CVSE/ for the most recent regulations.
Part 26 of WorkSafeBC regulations deals with Forestry activities, including log hauling. Part 3 also deals with the transportation of workers. Please visit their website for the regulations and their interpretations.
